WALK LIKE CHRIST ANYWAYS

If you sincerely strive to be a follower of God as a dear child, even as Christ (Ephesians 5:1-2), others may accuse you of spiritual pride: WALK LIKE CHRIST ANYWAYS.
Though you have forgiven others time and time again, they may time and time again accuse of being bitter because you will not compromise the truth which they equate with unforgiveness: FORGIVE THEM TIME AND TIME AGAIN ANYWAYS.
If you sell what you have and give to the poor others may accuse you of doing it without love: SELL WHAT YOU HAVE TO HELP THE POOR IN LOVE ANYWAYS.
If you walk in the light as God is in the light, not having fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reproving and exposing them, many may accuse you of being divisive, not receiving sincere brethren, and cutting off fruitful branches: NEVERTHELESS TAKE HEED TO YOURSELF AND TO YOUR DOCTRINE THAT YOU MAY SAVE BOTH YOURSELF AND THEM THAT HEAR YOU ANYWAYS.
Perhaps in your sincere pursuit of Christ you may develop deep and intimate relationships with other sincere brothers and sisters and because of this many may accuse you of being a cult, being too close to one another, or other absurdities: CONTINUE TO LET LOVE BE WITHOUT DISSIMULATION, LIVE IN COMMUNITY, AND BE OF ONE HEART AND ONE SOUL ANYWAYS.
If you earnestly desire and strive to let all your conversation be as Christ and to talk, answer, and reason as He, even answering questions with questions others may accuse you of loving the preeminence: YOU CONTINUE TO STRIVE TO TALK AS CHRIST ANYWAYS.
If you see truth that others around you do not see and you begin to walk in it and teach others about it they may accuse you of claiming to be God: YOU WALK IN ALL OF THE TRUTH GOD REVEALS TO YOU AND TEACH IT TO OTHERS ANYWAYS.
The more you genuinely love others, as happened to the apostle Paul, others may love you less: DON’T LET YOUR LOVE GROW COLD AND CONTINUE TO GENUINELY LOVE OTHERS ANYWAYS.
If you are honest and transparent about your relationship with God, your spiritual status, faults, fears and doubts others may use this against you and accuse you of not being saved or have grave concerns: YOU BE HONEST AND TRANSPARENT ANYWAYS.
If you see error and begin standing against it you will win some genuine friends and some real enemies: YOU KEEP LOVINGLY EXPOSING THE ERROR ANYWAYS.
The patience, forbearance, kindness, charity, and gentleness you show others may never be regarded by them and forgotten: YOU CONTINUE TO BE PATIENT, FORBEARING, KIND, CHARITABLE, AND GENTLE ANYWAYS.
If you are often accused of many things and have found many of the accusations to be unsound: BEAR PATIENTLY WITH YOUR ACCUSERS AND CONTINUE TO EXAMINE WITH MEEKNESS AND SINCERE DESIRE TO KNOW WHETHER THERE IS ANY TRUTH IN THEIR ACCUSATIONS ANYWAYS.
Give your family, friends, brethren and sisters the best you have and it may never be enough; in fact, they may further accuse you of spiritual pride and of trying to be like Christ: YOU CONTINUE TO GIVE THE BEST YOU HAVE TO EARNESTLY STRIVE TO BE LIKE CHRIST ANYWAYS.
You see, in the final analysis: YOU WERE PREDESTINED TO BE LIKE CHRIST; YOU WERE NEVER TO BE LIKE ANYONE ELSE ANYWAYS!

“Reason dictates that persons who are truly noble and who love wisdom will honor and love only what is true. They will refuse to follow traditional viewpoints if those viewpoints are worthless...Instead, a person who genuinely loves truth must choose to do and speak what is true, even if he is threatened with death...I have not come to flatter you by this written petition, nor to impress you by my words. I have come to simply beg that you do not pass judgment until you have made an accurate and thorough investigation. Your investigation must be free of prejudice, hearsay, and any desire to please the superstitious crowds. As for us, we are convinced that you can inflict no lasting evil on us. We can only do it to ourselves by proving to be wicked people. You can kill us—but you cannot harm us.” From Justin Martyr's first apology 150 A.D. Martyred A.D. 160
