Don't Blaspheme!

DON'T BLASPHEME . . .

Jesus sent rain and also attempted to shine light into the hearts of the Pharisees, Jews and rulers again and again through His interactions with them, but again and again they BLASPHEMED , and their hearts grew harder and harder so that they took Jesus by lawless hands, and brought Him before Pilate with false charges. But after interrogating Jesus, PILATE was DETERMINED to let Jesus go. (Acts 3:13)

This determination is evidenced in that Pilate brought out Barabbas (a murderer) instead of the thief (who was later crucified next to Jesus). Surely Pilate would have preferred a thief instead of a murderer to be released, however, being aware of the Jews' envy and hatred of Jesus, he was probably convinced that stealing was not a serious enough of a crime for the Jews to pick the thief instead of Jesus. So Pilate brought out a murderer, expecting the Jews to choose Jesus and not the murderer. But these Pharisees, Jews, and rulers (which were zealous of the Law of Moses and who a few years earlier probably would never have made the choice for a murderer to be released), BLASPHEMED, and their hearts grew HARDER and HARDER, so that they desired a murderer to be granted unto them (Acts 3:14).

"For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned." (Hebrews 6:7-8)

"He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy." (Proverbs 29:1)

If you know what Jesus taught and you are not doing it, then you are living in REBELLION. You are in GRAVE DANGER of committing sins that you never would have imagined committing. Repent. Obey. Believe. Follow Jesus.

If you decide to BLASPHEME and reject His counsel and doctrine, you and those like you (your friends) may NEVER REALIZE the sinful condition you are in...you will become like those to whom Jesus said "If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth," (John 9:39) and like that "generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness." (Proverbs 30:12)

Walk in the light while you are still able to see the light (John 12:35)...do not waver...do not procrastinate...put your hand to the plow and don't look back...REMEMBER LOT'S WIFE...love your enemies, leave the military, swear not at all, don't gossip or bite back but let all your conversation be seasoned with salt that you may impart grace unto those who hear you, forgive others, put away all hypocrisy and dissimulation and covetousness, be reconciled to your brothers and sisters in the Lord, be angry and sin not, freely give, forsake your adulterous marriage, husbands love your wives, wives submit to your husbands in everything as unto the Lord, preach the Gospel, women: wear veils and not jewelry, men put away your tucked in shirts and pants, especially while telling women to wear dresses, burn your immodest clothing or use the material to patch holes in old ones...THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOW . . . NONE ARE GUARANTEED TOMORROW AND NOW IS THE ONLY POWER YOU HAVE!

Ezekiel 20:27 Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.

Acts 18:5-6 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ. And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

“Reason dictates that persons who are truly noble and who love wisdom will honor and love only what is true. They will refuse to follow traditional viewpoints if those viewpoints are worthless...Instead, a person who genuinely loves truth must choose to do and speak what is true, even if he is threatened with death...I have not come to flatter you by this written petition, nor to impress you by my words. I have come to simply beg that you do not pass judgment until you have made an accurate and thorough investigation. Your investigation must be free of prejudice, hearsay, and any desire to please the superstitious crowds. As for us, we are convinced that you can inflict no lasting evil on us. We can only do it to ourselves by proving to be wicked people. You can kill us—but you cannot harm us.” From Justin Martyr's first apology 150 A.D. Martyred A.D. 160
